Romance in Black and White

 I actually took this series of photos of Hauk and Sabia back in 2017. As I was looking through old photo albums I decided to re-edit them in black and white to bring a bit of new life to them, as it was one of my favorite photo shoots I've done of these two.

One of my first couples in the FID/RD size, they are still a favorite.........

Sometimes dolls just really seem to "click" together, as is the case with these 2, at least in my eyes.

I think this is one of the most romantic shoots I've done with the smaller dolls as well, and the black and white edits really add to the "mood." I need to work on adding a little more romance into my dollies lives in 2021.

Ren, Just Because

 Just because Ren was standing around looking so handsome, I just had to photograph him a little bit more.

Ren's a member of the Wolven race, and he's the alpha of his pack.

Really love this guy...........he speaks to me loudly.........

Trying to figure out where "Jude" fits into the pack.........I know Ren has taken him under his wing, and I know he comes from a bit of a traumatic background. Hoping that if I spend some more time photographing him with members of his "pack" as well as by himself that he will speak to me a bit more.

Merry Christmas Eve

 I got a box from Ebay with a couple new Monique wigs, so decided to play and try one of them on Nieves. I hate that Monique is going out of business. They have been my go to for dolly wigs for almost as long as I have been a BJD owner. They will be greatly missed. Nieves is wearing one of the newer styles, Zsa Zsa here in bleach blonde.

I wanted something for her that wasn't pure white for her modern day persona. Her dress is from Katz MeowDesigns on Etsy.

Hey Jude

 After seeing some owner pics of the 51cm Jude full doll by SartoriaJ, I'm very anxious for the one I ordered to get home, but since it will be after the first of the year, I thought I'd get my "LeStat" Jude out, and put him back in contemporary clothing for some play time. He really is so "pretty".

And luckily his head is shaped VERY close to Leonard's as my Leonard's hard cap wig from Chewin fits him perfectly, as if made for him.

I wish Chewin had more of the Raccoon Doll guys so I could get both Micha (Ken) and Ren (Branden) Chewin wigs as well. I really love them on the guys. His outfit below is from SartoriaJ as well.

Immortals at Home

 Micha and Vanya are immortal mates......he is vampire, she is Elven.  They have lived several centuries, so since he was in contemporary clothing I decided to bring her in the contemporary world as well. I wanted to play with different wigs on her too, as she disguises her Elven ears in the contemporary world, so wanted a wig that would hide them.

The new RD woman body is a bit slimmer than the original one, and the feet are a little bigger as well. The body poses well so far, and I love the updated hands.

A Snowy Day

 We woke up to a light snow on the ground this morning, and its been flurrying off an on all morning. Not much of an accumulation, but I was inspired to take the new guy out for some photos, as the snow suits him. He's a vampire, originally from Russia, so he likes the cold. I haven't fully fleshed out his back story yet, but I'm getting closer. 

I haven't decided if his name is Kolya or Micha (short for Michail) yet. Both seem to suit him, but I think I'm leaning toward Micha.

His coat is from one of the very first Iplehouse outfits I bought for my FID guys when Iple first introduced that line, and I had yet to phogograph it. It's a little tight across the chest of the RD body, but if I took his sweater off underneath, I think it would be a much better fit. 

I still think he looks pretty striking in the coat.

After the Party

 Just playing a bit more with Ren and Reaghan today. I thought since she wore a red dress to the "party" that it would be a fun chance for her to show off this red lingerie I got from Iple back when they first introduced the FID line. Well you can't see it that well in the first shot...........but keep scrolling.

This size is SO much easier to pose together than my big dolls! And I have to say these two just seem to belong together.

Elegant but Lethal

 I've been reading Lauren Gilley's Sons of Rome series of books lately and they have inspired me to play around with a few of my guys being more than they seem on the surface. Today I put Raccoon Doll Ken in contemporary clothing and photographed him to try and get a feel for who I really want him to be.

I bought him with intentions of using him in my "Glade" world (link over in the sidebar to that blog), but I'm thinking he may be a bit more than that persona now. He is very elegant.

He also definitely has an "otherworldness" about him as well. I have a few ideas swirling around in my head for him as well as a few of my other dolls. I think for now I'll continue to play with him and photograph him and see what else he tells me.  Other than being more than what he seems, he's keeping his cards pretty close to his vest for now.

Dressing Up

Ren and Reaghan dressing up a bit for the holidays. 

As I was looking for something appropriate for Reaghan to wear I realized I don't have too many "dressy" clothes for my FID/RD sized ladies in a contemporary style. I need to remedy that a bit in the coming year. Ren is wearing the Raccoon doll resin shoes, which I love. I might have to go back and get them in brown as well.

I hadn't really planned on these 2 being a couple, but I may rethink that as I really do like them together quite a lot! I know I say this every year, and I didn't do too well at it in 2020, but I want to add very few dolls in 2021, and concentrate on clothing and accessories for the ones I already have. I love the FID/RD size, but I already have quite a lot of them and don't want to get so many that I don't really enjoy all the ones I have.
