SartoriaJ 51cm Jude

When SartoriaJ introduced their 51cm sized guys last fall I had to order the bearded faced Jude. I love this sculpt and I really wanted to try one of the SJ bodies. Happy to say he fits in very well with the Iple FID and Raccoon Doll crews. His height is very close to the Raccoon Doll men, just a little bit taller than the Iple FID muscle men. He seems lighter than the FID muscle men when you hold him though. I'll do some size comparisons of the three later.  I still need to decide on a name. Lobo always  pops into my head when I look at him, and I'm guessing that's a last name or a nickname, but I haven't decided yet.

He's certainly a handsome one!  I will take some pics of him with his clean shaven brother later. This bearded face up is so well done though! I much prefer it to his clean shaven look.

And he has a nice profile too.

And a pic of him with Cali. I haven't decided what their relationship is yet, other than I know they are part of the same wolven pack.

Meet Cali

I had a chance to adopt this girl from a friend a short while ago and she arrived yesterday.  I couldn't be more thrilled with her. The Grace sculpt has major attitude, and I love that about her. I wanted another girl to be part of the wolven group, and this little lady fits the bill perfectly. I'm going to call her Cali, short for Accalia.

I think she is a cousin to Lucy and Ren, and I'm hoping she will be a good match for my SartoriaJ Jude, who just showed up minutes ago.

I'll try to get some pics of them together over the weekend. I couldn't be more thrilled with how Cali has pulled together. Some of them are so much easier than others.

I'm sure you will be seeing much more of her in future blog installments!

Another Dreary Winter Day

Another dreary winter's day. It feels like forever since we've seen the sun here. No rain or snow, just overcast and gray and blah. I'd almost rather have it snow, since I don't have to go anywhere anyway. Days like this just seem to suck the life out my desire to get anything done. So, since it had been a while since I had Maeve out, I put her in the new sweater that arrived and got a few new pictures.

At least I feel like I'm getting a tad more proficient at using the manual settings on my camera so that I'm doing a wee bit better in low light situations. I found this sweater on Etsy described as "oversize" for the minifee's and I was hoping it would work well for my FID girls. I figured if it didn't I have minifee's too, so they could inherit it. I'm pleased with how it works for Maeve though, so the FID's may get to keep it.

I struggle if I want to keep these eyes in Maeve as they are definitely a bit "otherwordly", but I think I am going to use her in with the wolven group, and for a wolven they work quite nicely in my opinion. I may try and readjust them a bit. Eyes are SO hard to adjust in this size though.

Welcome 2021

Welcome 2021, may you be much kinder on us than your predecessor 2020 was. Although I do have to say I was lucky not to face some of the challenges that others faced. My husband and I are both blessed with jobs that are essential and can be done from home, a true blessing in these times. On the dolly front, Ren (RD Branden) was certainly a welcome addition to the dolly family. Received as a second head in Raccoon Doll's summer sale, he promptly took over Drake, my Damien's body, and has quickly become one of my favorite faces. As with most of my favorite guys, I tend to pair them up. Reaghan was being used in the Glade world, but I wanted to see how she looked with Ren, and they were definitely a pair that "clicked" for me, so I will certainly be doing more with them as a couple, and re-thinking her Glade story.

Anyway, some just because pics of them, just because I really like these 2 together.

Winter Knits

Long time, no post. I hope to remedy that in 2024, and become more active on my blogs again.  Today was a first step. I took some time to p...
